A Proposal
Look, why don’t we just form a new government? One that will uphold the Constitution? We could hold a special election, a second Constitutional Convention, where we ratify the Constitution and Bill of Rights with the addition that no one is above the rule of law, not even those entrusted to administer it. We elect a whole new House, a whole new Senate, a whole new President. A hard reset. A bloodless revolution.
We enlist all those people who resigned in protest or were fired in retribution to staff it. The IRS and Federal Reserve would likely be on board, with the threats and retaliation they’re facing. There’s a lot of seasoned military leaders and government officials who would be beneficial as well. All those who stand for law and order and democracy and the rights of the people. And those who vote in the election agree that their citizenship, their taxes, and their allegiance will go to the new government, and not the old. No taxation without representation, and no government that tramples on the rule of law and the will of the people.
If there is a faction in this country that wants to institute dictatorship, let them live under their dictator, while the rest of us rebuild what’s been broken. Their philosophy leads them to consume the other, and each other, and always results in self-destruction. We cut them off, stem the gangrenous infection, and save this nation of our people.
